New Orleans (February 14, 2012) – Paws on Parade, the public art project launched by the Louisiana SPCA (LA/SPCA), features Mardi Gras Bead Dogs® displayed in prominent locations throughout the city. This parade with a purpose seeks to raise awareness for animal welfare as well as funds for the LA/SPCA. Each dog is a unique one of a kind piece of art designed and produced by local artists sponsored by an individual, foundation, or business. The LA/SPCA is adding a competitive edge to these displays by offering a prize to the first 20 people who snap pictures of 10 or more sculptures. The wildly popular Mardi Gras Bead Dog® ornaments will be given to the winners of this fun photo contest. Email a picture of you next to 10 different sculptures to pr@la-spca.org. The first 20 recipients will receive a Mardi Gras Bead Dog® ornament bundle, four ornaments in four different color combinations.
