LSU's thirteenth annual Healthcare Effectiveness Forum will address changes facing healthcare delivery and financing, both locally and nationally, and the response of LSU to these changes. Event speakers are Dr. Stephanie Woolhandler, Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, who will deliver the keynote address, Dr. Larry Hollier, Chancellor, LSU Health Sciences Center – New Orleans, who will deliver the Merv Trail Lectureship,Dr. Danny Jackson, LSU HCSD Pharmacy Director, who will discuss a coordinated plan to improve medication safety for patients of the LSU Hospital System, Kurt Scott, Hospital Administrator, LSU Bogalusa Medical Center, and colleagues who will discuss the BMC performance improvement plan to enhance patient satisfaction and Dr. Michael Kaiser, LSU HCSD Chief Medical Officer, who will oversee a panel discussion on six outstanding performance improvement projects at LSU hospitals.
