On Wednesday, November 18th, "The New Orleans Mayors: A History of the Mayoralty Since 1946" continues with a panel discussion about the administration of Ernest "Dutch" Morial, mayor from 1978 to 1986. Moderated by WDSU's Norman Robinson, the panel features reporter Warren Bell, political consultant Cheron Brylski, former Morial adviser Ron Gardner, and Orleans Parish Sheriff Paul Valteau. By gathering together scholars, ex-staffers, activists, and journalists who covered City Hall, the series seeks to create public dialogue and historical understanding in the months before the 2010 mayoral election.
