Free Screenings at New Orleans Clinics

On Saturday, June 13, twelve Health Clinics in New Orleans will offer a variety of health screenings and information for blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, HIV, and other conditions to encourage New Orleanians to find a 'Medical Home.'

The following clinics will be open, each site offering a different menu of screenings:

City of New Orleans Health Department
2020 Jackson Avenue
Time: 9 :00a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
Pediatric visits, diabetic and cholesterol screening.

Daughters of Charity
3201 S. Carrollton Ave
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Free Screenings: blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol.
Children accepted.

EXCELth and the New Orleans Health Department
1111 Newton Street, Algiers
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12 Noon
Free screenings: Dental screenings; Blood Pressure; Diabetes; Cholesterol (must fast); HIV testing and more.
Children accepted.
Physicians available to discuss screening tests results and medical home model.

Offering tobacco cessation (intervention) and wellness and fitness education

Free Screenings: HIV testing and HIV/STD literature and prevention materials
*HIV Testing provided for individuals age 13 and up without parental consent
