Neighborhood organization provides case management services for homeowners in the lower Ninth Ward with priority given to senior citizens. Services includes finding volunteer labor, rebuilding materials, furniture and appliances for homeowners trying to rebuild; help with Road Home and property succession issues.

Brad Pitt's Make It Right Foundation aims to be a catalyst for redevelopment of the Lower 9th Ward by building a neighborhood comprised of safe and healthy homes. Lower Ninth Ward residents can sign up to work with MIR to choose, finance and prepare to own their new homes.

St. Claude Sankofa Community Marketplace

This monthly marketplace, open from 10am to 3pm on the second Saturday of each month, features a wide range of fresh produce vendors and live entertainment, and will provide a venue for distributing information about healthy living practices.
